Every month some of the Knights and their spouses go out to local eateries to help local owners by supporting their restaurants.

Tootsie Rolls arrive for the annual drive – Sept. 2022

Delivery of the annual Tootsie rolls to be given away at the local Tractor supply to help raise money for the Knights to be disbursed to local charities. Above is the award given to the manager of the local Tractor Supply Store for their assistance in this program.

Altar Server of the Month – August 2022

As of August of 2022 K of C Council, 4371 will be awarding an Altar Server of the Month award to one of the many servers of our Parish. For the month of August, the award goes to Andrew Shetler who will receive a gift certificate to receive a free Sunday breakfast at the Social Hall at the Church. The Breakfast is held on the first Sunday of the month between 9 am and 11:30 am.

Birthday Social !!

On July 26th, 2022 the knights of Council 4371 gathered together to celebrate the members who have birthdays in the month of July. Much celebrating was decreed!!! Ed Sheridan took top honors by turning 90!!!!

GA State Meeting for the Knights of Columbus

On July 23rd, 2022 in Macon GA, Knights from all over the state came to meet in Macon, GA to go over the upcoming year’s events and programs that will benefit the communities in each Council’s area.

First Responders Luncheon 2022

The photos above are from the Annual First Responders Luncheon that was held in late June. Knights Council 4371 presented many awards to the Houston County and RAFB responders who serve the community in times of crisis. Can’t wait for next year’s Luncheon!

Cleaning up around the yard of the Old Church.

Several Knights helped on June 11th to remove an old fence that was torn near down near the old church to make way for new and better fencing in the near future! That was a lot of work for guys getting up there in age!!!! Keep moving forward I always say! Thanks to all who contributed!

In Memorium

Build Our Domestic Church

Jean Woodman, the lay pastoral assistant at Sacred Heart, provided the Knights with the table and location. We will maintain this location for the next 11 months as we Build Our Domestic Church. Thank you Angelo for starting us on this journey.

Wheelchair Delivery

The Knights once again help the community by delivering wheelchairs to those in need. Dan Penny, the Grand Knight of Council 4371, & Paul Zimmerman help in this project by delivering and setting up a wheelchair for a local person in need.

Knights Demo

The Knights went out to help a neighbor who had issues with a concrete pad in front of their shed. So with sledgehammer and shovels in hand, they took on this project with gusto!!! They will go back and pour the new pad at a later date.

Bishop Parkes Visits Sacred heart

Bishop Stephen Parkes of the Diocese of Savannah visited Sacred Heart Church for the Reflect, Renew, Rejoice Program that asks the community how they feel the Diocese is responding to the needs of the Christian community.

Monseigneur Felix Donnelly Council 4371 inducted three new members into the Council along with the transfer of Xavier E. Peries from Council 13232 in Weslaco, TX. The ceremony took place after the 5:00 Mass on Saturday, September 25, 2021. New members inducted into as 3rd Degree of members included Allen J. Chromy, James Erdmanczyk, and Father Julio Rodriguez.

Knights of Columbus Soccer Shootout

On August 21st, 2021 Sacred Heart Church dedicated its new soccer field as Presentation Field in honor of the Sisters of the Presentation. Afterward, the newly titled field was used for the annual Knights of Columbus Soccer Shootout. Here are some photos from that event:

On July 6th, 2021, Council 4371 had their annual Installation of Officers ceremony held at Knights Hall in Warner Robins, GA. the ceremony saw Pat Pepper step down as acting Grand Knight and Dan Penny fill the void. 13 other members were sworn into their new positions. The ceremony lasted about an hour while a fine meal was served by the members of the Knights as well as the Ladies Auxilary. A great time was had by all!
